It took just a little bit longer than expected but I can finally put up some of the videos from Nintendo's E3 Nintendo Direct event.
There is quite a lot of content to get through so expect a number of trailers but I suppose we should get the big ones out of the way first with the new Super Smash Bros. trailer including the new challenger - Wii Fit Trainer. Click more to see her trailer and also the trailer for Wind Waker HD!

It's been another busy day here at PWGaming with a vast amount of media and more information posted from E3.
Nintendo
Nintendo never held a conference this year in front of a wide crowd of people but instead held a smaller Nintendo Direct event. There was a vast number of titles shown both from Nintendo themselves and from various third parties. The main standout for me personally had to be the next title from Monolithsoft titled X. The game features a large-scale open world that players can explore in a seamless fashion, it also features mechs which immediately got my attention.
Also shown on the third party side of things was Bayonetta which looks visually very impressive and seems to continue on in the traditions of the first title.
Nintendo shown off brand new franchise titles including a new Mario 3D game, new Mario Kart 8, and a brand new Donkey Kong. The big one however was the long-awaited return of Smash Bros. which now features Mega Man, a Villager from Animal Cross and... the Wii.. Fit trainer? I don't know, make up your own mind.
Regardless Nintendo had a fairly strong showing and did what needed to be done, the titles all look fun, Bayonetta and X look fantastic and while there isn't as much third party strength as Sony or Microsoft have it's still a good line up and one I'm looking forward to.
Publishers
With the major conferences out of the way there isn't too much else to comment on on their side aside from little tidbits released since then. Sony have once again reaffirmed the DRM and used game situation. They had come under a little bit of fire from some corners of the press about their policy that it would be up to publishers.
This has since been clarified that publishers may, if they wish to, maintain the 'Online Pass' system that we have become accustomed to, Sony however will not be using such a system. In essence it remains the same as the Playstation 3 which isn't ideal for a lot of people but better than what the Xbox One is offering.
Speaking of the Xbox One, Microsoft have come under even more fire for their policies after Microsoft's Don Mattrick stated:
Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360."
"If you have zero access to the Internew, that is an offline device."
Say what you will but that sort of arrogance is not a great attitude to have an will rub people the wrong way. I always said companies do not want to risk making the same mistake Sony did at the 2006 E3 but it seems Microsoft are heading down that path only without the funny memes.
Microsoft have a chance to recover from the negativity but it's going to be tough. The optimist in me says they will realize their PR mistakes and improve but the realist says it's going to be a very rocky path for them.
What about the games though, that's what we love E3 for right? I've spoken too much and it's time to just list off what was posted yesterday. There is some cool stuff there, I know fans have been looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 3 for some time and Final Fantasy is always welcome.

Here is a series thats long-standing but more for the hardcore game crowd, Armored Core. For those who don't know Armored Core is a mech fighting game which allows you to build and customise a mech, take it online and perform missions. It's incredibly deep and one of those very hard to learn and master games but has an enduring fanbase. The following screenshots from from the latest in the series - Verdict Day.

I've got to admit I'm not a big fan of the Killzone franchise so this one didn't excite me that much, Infamous however I found to be very enjoyable so am interested to see how it goes to next gen.
