New Resident Evil 6 Demo coming in September 18th
Capcom have today announced that a brand new demo for Resident Evil 6 will be arriving later this month. If you read my review of the demo which came with Dragon's Dogma you'll have seen that I wasn't particulary impressed with what we had been given finding the demo too short to really get to grips with the game.

Again we'll get to play through a short segment of each of the three campaigns, below we have the official information from Capcom:

"Play as either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper and further explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.

The action in Jake’s mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the J’avo, including their fully mutated forms. Be sure to check out Jake’s special hand-to- hand combat moves and Sherry’s stun baton as you struggle to stay alive.

Showcasing Resident Evil 6’s global setting, Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J’avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that’s before the 3-storey high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Select Piers for a slightly different weapons loadout to Chris including a sniper rifle with thermal scope."

Gaming Events in Teesside
One of the major things I wanted to do when relaunching this website was to get more involved in the ways of community. Already we are working with 1UP Gaming Events to tell you about their awesome upcoming events being held in Middlesbrough, we already have strong links with GTAWarehouse and Happy Waffle Gaming.

One of the other major things though is telling you all about awesome gaming events happening in the Teesside Area. The most obvious of which being the midnight launch events held at the Game stores in Teesside Park and Middlesbrough itself.

A midnight launch is exactly what it sounds like, a chance for you to be one of the very first in line to purchase your favourite games and go home happy with them. What is great about them though is the opportunity to meet gamers from around the area, chat with them and also partake in tournaments and special events on the night. So here are the upcoming dates for you all:

Fifa 13 - 27th September
Halo 4 - 5th November
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 - 12th November

For more information be sure to like both stores on Facebook/Twitter

Sleeping Dogs & Anomaly Warzone Earth Reviews
So two reviews for you all to get your teeth into today, first up we have the indie title that has just released on the PSN - Anomaly Warzone Earth. This title is a tower offence game which means instead of keeping critters out you'll be trying to break in. It's a fun title which won't blow you away but will provide a good few hours of fun.

Second up is slightly bigger budget and it is Sleeping Dogs from Square Enix and United Front Games. Sleeping Dogs started out as True Crime Hong Kong but Activision ditched it as they didn't see it as a contender for the likes of GTA. The game was picked up and rebranded and i'm happy to say that United Front have done a good job with the title, to see more read our review.

Assassin's Creed III
At Gamescom Ubisoft gave us a bit more of a look at Assassin's Creed III with the Naval demo, for anyone who might have missed that though we have the footage here complete with narration from Alex Hutchinson the creative director of the game.

Resident Evil 6 Demo Impressions
Resident Evil 6 drops in just a month or so but for a few people who own the title Dragons Dogma the demo has been accessible for some time. Anyway I've finally managed to get the demo myself and have played through it. Overall I found the whole experience to be a bit too short to really get a full opinion. I think Capcom have played it a bit safe by only giving you about 10-15 minutes of each campaign before moving you on.

There are of course positive and negative comments to be made about the demo as a whole so feel free to check them out.

GTA-Mania
How does the saying go? You wait so long for ____ and three come along at once, as an example you wait ages for GTAV info and three batches of screenshots come along in a week. That is exactly what has happened this week as Rockstar have chosen today to release a further four images on top of the six already out there.

The three packs were all released under simple one word headlines - Business, Leisure and Transport and we've got all them them in our GTAV hub.

Broken Sword returns!
One of my favourite games of all time is the Revolution Software classic Broken Sword. It told the tale of George Stobbart an American patents lawyer who is holidaying in France. He is thrown into a world of mystery after the cafe he is at is blown to bits by a strange clown. The series reached four titles and hasn't been heard from again until now.

Revolution have announced a new entry into the series and are going down the same route many smaller developers are going down by funding it purely through a kickstarter.

There are a wide range of values you can pledge by and a whole load of goodies on offer so go along and check it out. Not only that but this is being made by the original Broken Sword creator!

New GTAV Screenshots
We are still waiting for more information on Rockstar Games' latest opus GTAV. As of now we have had two screenshots and a trailer. Well today that has changed as Rockstar have released another three screenshots showing off some of the vehicles in game. The images look absolutely gorgeous and have really hyped us at PWGaming up for more on this game.

For more GTAV coverage check out our dedicated GTAV Hub.

1Up Gaming Events
Since the website relaunched you might have noticed two additions on the right hand side, the first one is a link to a project called Happy Waffle gaming which is ran by Casey Mongillo and is a series of video playthroughs of various games. I heavily urge everyone to check it out, leave comments and all that good stuff.

The next link is the one I wanted to speak about and is more closer to home. I'm a part of a local Anime/Manga convention in Teesside called Nemacon. Two of the lovely members of staff there have set up a series of events in Middlesbrough hosted in the Mink Coffee Bar called 1UP. It is a chance for gamers in the community to get together for a night of competitions, socialising and gaming. I heavily urge anyone in the area to check it out as the two people who run it Sam Haley and Dave Hodgeson are two of the lovliest people around and deserve a lot of success with it

Taken from their facebook page here are details of the latest event
